Simply Symptomatic Treatment for Viruses

In Minnesota, doctors confronted by a patient demanding an antibiotic to treat a viral infection now have a new tool at their disposal. The Minnesota Antibiotic Resistance Collaborative (ARC) has distributed 10,000 “Minnesota Cough and Cold Care Kits for Adults” to clinics in the seven-county metropolitan area surrounding Minneapolis. The kits contain over-the-counter medications to treat the symptoms of colds, including acetaminophen, decongestant tablets, cough suppressant syrup, tea bags, instant chicken noodle soup mix, a patient education brochure and a patient satisfaction reply card. Rating a Company’s Family Friendliness

How do you really assess an employer’s family friendliness? Look to the subtleties. Lisa Levey, a Boston work/family consultant says you should determine:
If employees you encounter talk about non-work subjects.

If higher-ups in the company take advantage of work/life programs.
If the atmosphere seems relaxed and flexible, as opposed to everyone crowding in the door at 9 a.m.

How many employees take advantage of different workstyle options, such as job sharing, part-time schedules and telecommuting. If you can talk to other employees in the department.

Why the person before you left.
What the stress level and time expectations are.

functional incontinence

Functional Incontinence
Functional incontinence is the result of things that make it difficult to get to the bathroom in time to urinate. Unlike the other three types of incontinence discussed so far, it does not result from pelvic floor muscle weakening, increased abdominal pressure, infections or nervous system disorders. Instead, it occurs when people have insufficient mobility or impaired manual dexterity that makes it hard to physically get to the bathroom and undress in time.
